All help appreciated!

My current/future configuration:

Asus Prime Z370-P

i5-8600k

Msi gtx 1070ti

2x8gb ddr3 1600mhz

Yep that psu will be enough power, the system will use less than 400w at all times.

If I overclock the cpu and the graphics card, will the psu still do the job?

Don't get that VS, get the CX550M. Or the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550W.

The VS550 can output the power you need but I'd highly recommend a higher-quality unit if you're powering a 1070 Ti and 8600k.

VS is fine but please upgrade to something better like the CX450M for $30 or the Focus Plus Gold for $55

No

You are spending ~1000€ for Motherboard, CPU and Graphics card and are only willing to get the shittiest unit from one manufacturer?

Don't do that, get a Bitfenix Formula, Whisper M, be quiet Pure Power 10, Straight Power 11.

500W is more than enough, even 450W is plenty for that system.

And you don't want more Wattage, you want the best quality you can get!

What's the difference between a high quality PSU vs the one I have?

Voltage regulation, quality of components, especially fan, noise, efficiency.

In short,everything.

A better one regulates every voltage independently, a cheap one +12V and +5V together. IF you load one of those rails hard and the other not at all, the hard loaded will drop, the light loaded rise and possibly/probably go out of spec and it might even damage components.

What Stefan said.

Essentially the VS550 is the cheapest PSU you can buy that probably won't blow up your PC within its warranty period, but doesn't perform that well, is going to date itself quickly, and lacks any features whatsoever.

If you can afford a 1070 Ti in the current GPU market then you can afford to spend $80 on a PSU to power it.

Corsair TX550M V3 550W

Is this a better PSU? I saw it has a Gold rating and the reviews isnt that bad. I didn't even know what a psu was 3 days ago, so all this is kinda new to me
