Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

They did sell the 9-3 Aero with the 2.8L V6 in AWD but they're quite rare (Saab called it XWD for some reason but still AWD)

I really want a 9-2X Aero (WRX with a STI turbo, steering rack, and suspension with a Saab front end) or a 9-7X Aero (Trailblazer SS with Saab front end and interior)

Damn, guess i got to go search the earth for a Saab 9-3 xwd now.

yeah, but they are more of a track car than a normal 2.8T XWD

cause come stiffer and lower and bigger brakes from factory

hmmm what's a good car (sedan/wagon/whatever... >2 seats lol) with an inline-6 that is a reasonable/efficient daily driver that you can put a decent amount of stuff in and is cheap to repair?

is there anything even?

I mean... there is BMW's but not exactly cheap to repair are they? Here they don't have rust issues at least but other things are pricey too...

lol really bmw is all you got. unless you want a mercedes e class wagon. i believe the new ones will start selling with an inline 6 making around 400hp. or you can always go with an older inline 6 early 90s-early 00s mercedes might be a good choice. their i6s are fairly reliable and they are comfortable too.

Yeah, your only option would be BMW, but as you said, they sure aren't the cheapest to repair...

Look for a 535i E61 or even a 335i E91 :P

those had a 2JZ right? if so, perfect. plenty of parts... (im not crazy about the 2jz itself.. but in an N/A config they are dead reliable...)

it wouldn't be modified or anything, i just want something efficient and cheap to fix that has more cylinders than 4 for once lol.. so many good 4cylinders out there, but im just ready for something different.

the thing i like about I-6's is they are just as simple as I-4's... dont have to deal with 2 cylinder heads, the timing chain/belt stays a more simplistic design, etc. just super easy to work on when you need to... V designs can be a bit complicated or a pain :/

when i do a headgasket job i only want to do it once... not twice lol

edit: it seems the wagon was only offered with the auto trans. which is fine for a daily... but i'd probably get the sedan just for the manual transmission lol

if you dont mind losing 1 cylinder (or 2 for the older RWD ones) ... volvo  ... you can fix them with a sheet of metal and a hammer and WD40 and ducttape ... ok maybe that is an overestimation .. but you get the point xD
