Looking for assistance with Hamsters!

Mini Van Dan

This is an odd question to ask on here but figured I'd give it a shot. I'm wondering for anyone who owns Hamsters what you can recommend me for Housing as well as food or other accessories. I'm looking at getting a pet Hamster next week and I have a few I'm looking at. One is this one (https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pet/d/hamster-25/6402086626.html) and the other is a Robo. I'm just wondering what others use to make sure their Hamster doesn't escape but keep them happy.

Keep in mind hamsters are nocturnal, so you wont see them often. Get it a treadmill, they love running (in the night, so I hope you don't sleep close to its cage).

Furthermore, get a cage with a 'basement' that it can really burrow itself inside of, mine has a sort of coconut thing with a hole it really likes.

In terms of food, of course get the regular stuff, but they also like quite a lot of different vegetables. Particular (non spicy of course) peppers, tomatoes and some more.

Oh and the material you use is important as well, mine didn't react well to the most common type, but it likes stuff made from recycled paper better.

Yeah, coconut shells cut in half tend to be well-received.
