Hey man :)

The 1060 is a great card, however I had a wee look at your system specs and I think you'll have a pretty severe bottleneck from your CPU. Perhaps consider the 1050ti for 1080p gaming until you have enough money for a bigger upgrade :)

If you run the games with both monitor you might want to use SMP so it wont hurt your performance.

Oh nice! Well in that case, go ham on the 1060. Check out the pricing in relation to a 1070ti and see if you could squeeze that into your budget :)

1. This is in the wrong topic section, I'm sure it will be moved soon enough so now worries.

2. The 1060 is a great card. Be sure to get the 6GB version, and not the 3GB. version. It will be able to handle 2 1080p monitors no problem at all. Just make sure your system has sufficient RAM.

totally !
assuming you're running the game on a single monitor and the other is for discord/web ?

even then the gpu should be plenty powerfull to handle both monitors, I don't reccomend using it as such (its weird to have a split in the middle) unless you're playing driving games witch have you offset from the center of the car.

Modern GPUs don't give a fuck, if you have 2 or 3 Monitors on them, displaying the Desktop.

Of course, only gaming on 1 of them.

...nobody games on dual monitors in the first place, the second monitor would be solely an auxiliary monitor which literally anything can run two of those at this point.

pretty much this.

Hell according to intel my latop with HD 620 can run it's 1080p inbuilt display PLUS 2 x 4k @ 60hz simultaneously. multiple monitors doesn't degrade performance like it used to

EDIT EDIT EDIT: got a new pc with a i5 8600k and gtx 1060 6gb + 16gb ram

i sometimes do triple screens

i got 3 screens and a 750 :/

(planning on upgrading to 1060 6gb)

but most of the time i stick to one

(most of the time because of the power of a 750)

Having a second monitor won't affect game performance much since you're only gaming on the 1. Having Chrome, spotify, discord etc on other monitor isn't gonna tank your fps. The game is still only being rendered in 1920x1080.
