It's a nice touch. Skyrim felt better for the 10 minutes I played without installing abunch of mods.

For games like CSGO I can get 150 FPS using DSR on 4K on my rig. That's a game where I need high refresh rate to have a level playing field, then if I feel like playing a more graphically demanding game, I can play that at a higher Resolution.

for csgo i can understand 4k 144hz but not for anything more demanding really xD

Have you ever used a 144hz monitor? It's a night and day difference in almost every game...

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

i7 9700K (5.2Ghz @1.2V); MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC; Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 3200 CAS 16; H100i RGB Platinum; Samsung 970 Evo 1TB; Samsung 850 Evo 500GB; WD Black 3 TB; Phanteks 350x; Corsair RM19750w.

Laptop: Dell XPS 15 4K 9750H GTX 1650 16GB Ram 256GB SSD

ive always used a 200hz crt, dont tell me about the difference in hz lmao,  and the difference only applies if ur fps also has the required hz, if u have 30fps on a 144hz monitor ul just see 30fps and no smoothness at all, u wouldnt see the differenc ebetween a 60hz and a 144hz in that case x)

When can we expect 4K 144Hz monitors to be out? I remember reading something saying they'll be here soon (TM) a few years ago. Just curious as to when they'll be here.

Bonus points if they're 21:9.

Probably 2h2018. There is no need for them since even the Titan Xp only gets 70fps at 4K when lowering settings.

Getting pretty bored of reading this, like everyone plays the latest AAA games at ultra, and as though you need 144FPS to take advantage of 144Hz.

no, who the fk gets a 144hz monitor to play rpgs or open world games.. like seriously..

I do. It has made a huge difference over fixed 60 Hz monitors I used before that. I'm running 1440p and frame rates with all eye candy on typically runs between 90-150fps depending on scene. I'd love to see what it's like at 4k... actually, I might flip DSR on later to simulate it and get some numbers.

I also started playing Stardew Valley recently...

so you'll finally be able to get a futureproof piece of hardware that can last you multiple systems for years to come and no one cares and thinks its pointless :|. If they release a 144hz 4k OLED with HDR and freesync for $1k or cheaper im buying it immediately. I'll be good for years, hell ill probably just buy 2 and be done with monitors for 5 years at least.

who cares if systems can run games at those framerates, they will in the future and at that point its upgrade ur system and go. possibly just a new GPU.
