so Ford showed off the new "pony" recently and I wanted to know what you guys thought personally I think its a throwback to old with a splash of new and a great car for the 50th anniversary

Don't like it as much as the Camaro but I like more than the Challenger. The SLS AMG is definitely better looking.

They removed all of the lines that make it a mustang.... wtf Ford, the only Mustang anyone should buy is the Shelby GT 500.  The Dodge Challenger is the only muscle car to keep its mean look, meanwhile Ford and Chevrolet are making their cars more European styled.  The front end of the 2015 looks like an angry Aston Martin Vantage.

I don't like the red diffuser, it should be black. I like it a lot aside from the diffuser.

I hate the back, it makes perfect sense why it's shaped the way it is but I wish it was more like the 60s with the angle....

I would buy it. 

 

 

Then run it over with a freight train. Then light it on fire and dance and sing a sacrificial chant around it while it was burning. After that I then would have it crushed into 1' x 1' cubes and smelted into a toilet. Thus I can now truly prevail how I feel about that car by taking a massive crap in a a toilet made from it.

I've never really been a fan of Mustangs but I thought they looked okay. This one seems too soft, those aggressive lines that once made it a muscle car seem to have vanished. This new look doesn't look mean or aggressive; something that I think a muscle car should be.

 

When I first saw the picture I though it looked like a Toyota FR-S.

The new 2015 Ford Mustang has been leaked here and there for the past week now, so if you've been following cars at all you should already have seen it before the NDA was released earlier today.

 

Anyways, I like it. I'm a huge fan of the Aston Martin design philosophy that Ford has taken with their recent cars (ergo Fusion, now Mustang) though I like it more when it's on the actual British luxury piece. As for the car itself, I'm really digging the fast back design. The Mustang two- and three- generations ago weren't my cup of tea, but ever since the last gen refresh, I've started liking them again. Fastback designs are one of the best things to come out of muscle cars, and I really missed the Mustang having a "true" fastback shape from a few decades ago. The power often overtook the chassis, but the changes they've made for this new gen should please any moderate car enthusiast. For those who don't know, this new Mustang finally comes with independent rear suspension (+100000000000 to modern suspension setups, it's about damn time) so the car should be more usable.. everywhere, really.

 

As for engines, it's obvious that Ford's inline-4 EcoBoost motor (as fantastic as it is) will be available, along with the traditional V6 / V8 offerings. IIRC, that was a 5.0L V8 I saw in the leaked images. 

 

As for the lines, a lot of the press images shown recently have been in bad lighting / contrast / angles / whatever. It'd be unfair to put it out of mind this early; much like the C7, give it some time (or see it in person) and your opinions may change very quickly.

Anyways the ass looks nice, but on front i dont like the shape of headlight with those LEDs too. If i had cash i wouldnt buy it though...

Not the paint job! We are talking about how to body of the car is shaped. The new Mustang has a curvier body while last years mustang had sharp edges.
