Dude America has data caps on wired internet. Comcast has a 1 TB cap, AT&T DSL is like 150 Gigs and Uverse is 1TB. Its becoming the norm to have caps here. If wired providers have caps, you damn well better believe the wireless guys will follow suit.

The only internet that has no caps is Fiber. Verizon, AT&T and Comcast all make fiber "Unlimited". But fiber isnt every where. Wallstreet has also stated broadband prices are going up. The word on the street is Comcast could double its pricing. 

 

Oh and you can get unlimited on Comcast for non fiber service. You just gotta be willing to pay $50 on top of what you already paying.

I don't recall a time that there was unlimited data that went unthrottled. "Unlimited data*" never went away.

True actual unlimited data though and no throttle, yeah I've yet to see that. 

Personally I care mainly for fiber optic infrastructure. 

Though, one of my carriers have 1TB 4G plan and I may switch to it after my old contract.

I have no data caps on my DSL service, and they have no plans with any caps.  Ditto for Spectrum cable (formerly TWC).  I'm not doubting you that there are places which have data caps, but to say that all internet services have it (apart from fiber) is inaccurate/misleading at best.
