Please forgive me guys! I bought an i5 7600k instead of a Ryzen 5 1600x, please forgive me, i was just so ignorant for building a pc for the first time i just assumed intel had a monopoly over the industry. I mainly want to game but even Ryzen excels in that category.

I don't know what to do, is it worth returning the CPU and Motherboard unopened back to NCIX (Where i bought them) and get a Ryzen Setup, or just wait out my regret?

Are you being sarcastic? It seems like if anybody on this forum wants to build an Intel-based PC they get the stick of shame from the other users. It's okay to let people make their own choices and have their own preferences. It is not okay to be a hardcore fanboy defending a certain companies every move.

Get a 1600 non-x if you're returning and getting a Ryzen based system

what's wrong with the 7600k? it still a very good CPU at the price.....why do you suddenly feel like you made a bad choice and that you absolutely must go Ryzen?

I don't know why people feel ashamed to use Intel.

Well i didn't do my research enough. As soon as programs start taking advantage of more threads and cores the i5 is going to become obsolete

Try and return it if  you don't want it.

Its your choice man

Don't let other users hear that, according to them and everyone's grandma everything is already taking advantage of it... which... no.

Its a perfectly good processor, but if you can return it for your money back and exchange for R5, no reason not to either.

The choice is completely yours.  For just gaming, it will be perfectly fine.  The only issue would be that if you want to upgrade your CPU down the road, your only choice is either a Kaby Lake i7 (which isn't a massive upgrade in my opinion, but does give you HyperThreading) or replacing your MoBo and CPU together.  If you don't think you'll be upgrading for several years, then that doesn't really matter.

Do not regret the parts you buy, cause once you start regretting one thing, you'll start to regret everything.

It's your money, there is no shame in the parts you want for your build. Like Intel, then go with Intel. Want AMD then go with AMD. Those that shame you, can fu*k off.

Guys, I'm pretty sure we're being trolled.  The OP has their location listed as Romania, but they say they bought from NCIX, which apparently is only in Canada (at least from what I'm finding).  So if they really did buy this stuff from there, than either the location is false or they had it shipped overseas from Canada....just because?

May be cheaper, I bought some of my parts to save.

Perhaps, but it does seem odd to have so much stuff bought and shipped overseas, just to consider returning it (and paying the shipping and customs fees) simply over buyers remorse.  That just doesn't seem logical to me.  I could be wrong, though.
