Also doesn't meet section guidelines.

No quote or original content.

I was actually considering posting this in general discussion

No, that's called having a huge PR budget.

Why are you talking about mutually exclusive things?

adored should be news to wake some people up. While I am not saying everybody should just up and boycott intel/nvidia, they should be aware what has happened and what will happen.

GPU drivers giving you a hard time? Try this! (DDU)

Its a detailed breakdown of Intel's History as a company competing in the CPU space with AMD. The scandalous part being the dirty underhanded tactics they employed to cripple AMD. Most notably in the mid-late 2000s when AMD had a better product but Intel used their might to prevent OEM sales. A long video but very well put together and researched. Details include a history of the lawsuits and regulatory bodies of several nations finding Intel's business practices illegal.

Not news, in fact pretty ancient.

Also Intel didn't really do anything that any other company with a dominant position wouldn't do as well.   It was mostly some bullshit about "you can win but just not by too much".

This scene in Silicon Valley is pretty accurate:

"I suppose once Pied Piper is a billion dollar company you'll seek out your competitors and help them".

Willing to bet you didn't watch.

Paying near a billion $ per quarter in rebates to prevent your customer (the person meant to give you money) buying competitor products even when they are superior. Sureeeeeeee loads of businesses do that.

I already know the whole story, don't need to watch.  Intel incentivized retailers to sell their products.  Everyone does that in one form or another.   Coupons, product placement, discounts, rebates, advertising...all of it is a company spending money to put themselves above their competitors.

And ultimately what difference does it make?  Six in one hand, half dozen in the other.  I can either give you $20 off my product or pay you $20 to not buy their product.  Either way I lose $20 and you buy me.
