ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Extreme Announced

So it has Wifi and some USB3 headers, and a 90 degree power connector, and that warrants and extra $100?

Seems rather silly.

Add support for two m.2 drives to that list.  I'll agree that it seems silly, though...for some reason, most companies seem to think that a Wifi chip adds $50+ to a mobo right then and there.

Woooooooooooooooo!!!!! From a monoblock user feeling the love.

Just get one of the Gigabyte boards EK already makes a monoblock for, save yourself some cash and get a board that's just as good.

Not to mention both the board and monoblock are already out, so no waiting even after the 5 year wait for ryzen...

Yeah, very little to this justifies the price.

For M.2 many places in the EU sell PCIe addon cards for a few extra quid some taking 2 drives on them. Could get that and a wifi card and still be cheaper than this "Extreme" board.

Makes me worried for Asus new X399 Zenith board; will likely cost a bomb; and even then only supports two m.2 drives; where as the Taichi will have 3.

5950X | NH D15S | 64GB 3200Mhz | RTX 3090 | ASUS PG348Q+MG278Q

the board will be expensive no doubt about that.

the fact that there are so many pcie lanes, might mean they needed more pcb layers = higher costs

I suspect the Asus one will be €150 above the rest easily.

I already have a EK R4BE monoblock, just glad to see manufacturers care about them since they were dying off.

oooooooh, never let go of it.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example.
