  1. 1. What would you buy within a month?

    • STRIX 1080 Ti
      65
    • OnePlus 5
      30
    • iPad Pro 10.5
      5
    • LIFX smart bulbs
      7

  • STRIX 1080 Ti — already have 970 which runs my games at okayish 45-50 without AA (3440x1440)
  • OnePlus 5 — already have OnePlus 3 and the whole 'looks like an iPhone 7' controversy
  • iPad Pro 10.5 — already have iPad Pro 12.9, just needed a smaller one on the go
  • a set of 5 LIFX smart bulbs — only need it to set up the mood lighting to get laid better, which I won't need if I buy 1080 Ti

Are any of you buying these items, what's your reasoning?

So really... You don't need any of these.
-Your 970 can still last you until the next gen easily
-You have a OnePlus 3, why do you need to buy a OnePlus 5 instead? If it works, why bother replacing it.
-It's called using your phone instead of carrying a bigger, heavier, tablet.

-Lets face it, it ain't happening either way. 9_9

So I vote for "don't get anything and save up for something better later on"

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

I agree with this, but if I had to choose I'd go for the 1080ti and OP5. The second ipad strikes me as particularly useless and given the price it's the first one to pass. The lights... well, I don't know how much those cost but if you have to give up one of the other items for them then they are too expensive.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

These wi-fi enabled lights are US$50 each which makes a set of 5 around $350 Canadian, but they do transform a place from an everyday regular space to a night club scene, basically an RGB for an apartment, the whole place becomes a computer or a cool bar, depends on how you look at it.

I'd say 1080ti for 3440x1440 if you wanna bump up your settings...

Unless you want the latest phone the OP3 is still good, so only if you really want the latest phone...

Do you really need the iPad tbh?...

And the lightbulbs, I like them but thats your call

If it was me I'd either get the 1080ti and save... Or 1080ti and lights

Added a resolution to OP, OnePlus 3 is definitely powerful, but it's a year long decision, if I keep it now, it will be June 2018 before I can buy OnePlus 6. I'm interested in 5's dual camera.

1080ti, the rest not really needed. If you run phone apps than getting the one plus 5 would be better.

Mood lighting not important, if a girl loves you the mood lighting can wait and isnt a factor if someone wants to get laid with you, your own looks and personality are the most important factor in this.

You could get a quarter kilometer of RGB LED strips for that price...

OnePlus 5 since my Note has been RMA'd twice this year and still acts stupid regardless of what I've done.

Spoiler

Didn't connect my Google account or e-mails.

Used a new micro-SD card with the Note 4 replacement.

Tried a new battery with the original Note 4.

The Note 5 keeps crashing on the browser while on mobile LTE.

Note 5 goes into reboots when I use a 5 second song for the alarm clock.

1080 Ti because I'm a triple monitor gamer and GPU's have just now been able to handle games at 5760x1080 without dropping below 60Hz.

That kind of sounds like something you could do with a raspberry pi and a few regular rgb strips, but of course it would be more of a hassle to setup.

Not sure why the LIFX lightbulds are so low voted. They should be at the top BY FAR. GET THOSE LIGHT BULBS NOW. Mood lighting is great and will even just make you happier overall day to day.

TRUST ME YOU WANT THAT MKOD LIGHTING. It's an investment in your subconscious emotions on a deep level that helps in so many ways that are too hard to explain.

What about: saving up for when you need the money?

I mean these things are nice to have, but do you "need" them?

That's true, I'm still paying off my Invisialign (about 3k left), and owe 4k in taxes. A responsible part of me should allocate resources to that, but then I'm paying all that to someone else, I just want something for me too.

#1 choice is smart bulbs for the sex

#2 is the 1080 for the porn videos at 4K on the Big TV so you can mimick the kinky shit they do

Who gives a fuck about the ipad and phone

All that is already predetermined before she comes, once inside, things have to be cool and chill. Right now, I'm using dumb $6 blue and red colored bulbs in bathroom and bedroom. ALL girls who saw it, have commented on the lighting in one way or another, one said the lighting in a bathroom makes her look slimmer.

The downside is, the colors are too strong and dark and because I don't use this theme for my normal day to day life, I have to physically put them in when I expect visitors. Smart bulbs should give a better color control and I can flip the theme of the place with one click.

I don't think you need anything close to a 1080 Ti for 4k video. For my entertainment, I run an oldie HD 7970 3GB with a 1080p projector, will be good enough for years.
