When will i have to upgrade my system?

Hello all, the question i am asking is this. How long will my system last? I know there are alot of variables that can come into play but as an estimate how long d you guys think this will last? My main use will be gaming & little bits of video editing.

though my 7850 is screaming to be upgraded

I wouldn't upgrade that until either something breaks. However you might want to add an SSD to the mix.

Thanks guys! Still got a good couple of years yet then! It's just with all this "Next Gen" stuff being thrown around i didn't know whether i would have to upgrade sooner than i expected, thanks! :)

Everything except the GPUs should last for the full generation of console ports. Only PC exclusives you may be interested in, may convince you to upgrade something.

 

I can't imagine a game in the next 10 years ever being hindered by a 3570K, unless it is specifically designed to do that. (Read: Crytek and their shallow drivel tech demos)

 

Maybe if you want to run a LAN Star Citizen dedicated server off your machine it'll chug. Maybe.

It's all when you feel like it but I would say start thinking about Q4 2014.

A 7870 XT is no slouch, he can overclock them to pretty much 7950 performance.
