16 core 32 thread Ryzen CPU at 3.9Ghz? Holy shit. That would wreck Cinebench!

Edit: 32 threads of Ryzen power at 3.9GHz would break the Cinebench record lol.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

IF this launches (I'm super skeptical still) I'm totally on board for a 16-core Ryzen chip.

Is this new, or am I just really slow??

Bruh, I just had to take off my glasses, clear them with fog, and look at that link again. AMD is finally trying to whip some tail ;-;

Won't be cheap, this is the server platform. Would you like to join my amd anonymous (AA) support group? We have regular group meetings to talk each other out of buying chips with stupidly high amounts of cores

You're talking to a guy that spent $1600 on a Silicon Lottery 5960X...

I probably need help.

honestly I can't see the 16 core CPU be priced higher then the 6900x (1700). I expect it to be less then $1500 for the top end part, and possibly having a 16 core part start at $1000

If this rumor is true, I believe that Intel will launch an 18 core i9 instead of a 12 core one :D

But I bet it actually has ecc ram working and i don't know why but multi sockets. Maybe it will have some advanced hardware encryption acceleration that we don't know about yet

And that is what you will pay extra for, official backing from the motherboard oem. This is how electronics works, you don't get all the nice things unless you add an extra 0 on the price tag
