Am looking for a sweet spot i do a lot of design works and gaming more sim racing and i need big screen Can a 40ich 4k uhd tv work as a monitor

it will work but the colours might be a issue with the design work and input lag for gaming

Should work fine, assuming your GPU can support that resolution. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Check if the TV has HDMI 2.0 though, as I assume it wont have displayport and HDMI 1.4 or older can only do 4K at 30Hz (which will look laggy, even in non-gaming stuff).

i heard that if it's UHD then it can but of course using a TV as a monitor has its own drawbacks

This vid is what got me thinking lol but he as them so he going to say its good lol just needed a mass yes before spending 800 or i just get oculus rift for my sim racing

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

 

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

ask yourself this, "do i need it or do i want it"

how far are you from your current monitor/tv? you wouldn't want a huge tv that'll cause some eye strains or something

TV's are usually cheaper than monitors, my 32" TV costs around the same as a smaller monitor (20 somthing")
