Dropped My Old i3. Can It Still Be Used?

Well... I dropped my beloved Intel Core i3 2120. It hit solid ground, tile. Corner got bent in, anyways, I was wondering if I can still use it. On the back the green piece is a bit folded back, but doesn't reach any gold pips. Attached should be a pic of where the damage is (Not my CPU, but it is the corner where it is). If I cannot, it is no issue, at least I got my new i5 in beforehand.

These CPUs are not extremely fragile but dropping like that always involves high risk, the only way to truly find out is trying to boot it up, however if when you go sit it on the motherboard you feel it is not fitting correctly do not force it in any way as you might damage the motherboard.

Alright, I just really didnt want to risk having me screwed out of another PC, was gonna use it in a steambox sorta thing.

Ugh. Just put the new CPU in. I will definitely try it though.

if it's just the very corner, and stays away from the pads, shouldnt be much harm.

Haha. Always a pain. Especially when you take it apart and realize you don't have any more thermal compound...
