i've been having this issue for a while just performance been getting progressively worse I have tried reinstalling the game I have even tried a different hdd aswell as a different gpu

That said, and here's the column B, I've noticed no ill effects of the screw-drivers on my Maxwell cards as of yet.

There's a difference between optimizing drivers for the newest generation which makes old cards look worse in benchmarks, and actually making drivers force lower performance on old cards.

 

The first actually happens, the second is a conspiracy theory made up by amd fanboys or r/ayymd or someone like that.

 

You can confirm this by doing benchmarks on your cards and then comparing to the benchmarks at release from several years ago.

Most of the time the fps actually gets better because of all the driver improvements after release.

 

It has happened sometimes in the past where a new driver has a bug causing horrible performance on certain old cards, in these cases you revert to the previous driver and wait for the next driver release where it gets fixed.

Iv still been getting small improvements with the latest drivers with sli980tis

AMD (and proud) r7 1700 4ghz-

Could you change your clickbait title? nVidia drivers are fine, you have another issue going on there, DDU and reinstall the drivers.

Bull Shit. I run 2 980ti and play Sniper elite 4. I saw a 20fps improvement in my lows with the latest driver from Nvidia.

Maxwell performance drivers were done a long time ago....unless you need one of the updated drivers for a game you're playing that NEEDS a hotfix....stop updating.  lol

I agree with you. I routinely check performance scores in 3D Mark and they are all within 3% of each other. These are also comparing drivers all the way back to November

Not to say there haven't been some rotten eggs, but 378.78 is lagit. I've had better lows across the board. Even outside DX12.
