It Has Arrived! My FIrst 4k Monitor!

Orangeator

It makes my 1080p monitor look like a trash can. It is brand new, IPS 10 bit color and got it for $270.

1440p, the most superior resolution as it looks extremely sharp at 24 inches while a RX480/1060 can still push out 60fps in most games at high or ultra settings :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Will you be using it with or without DPI scaling?

If the 4K monitor is 27", it doesn't really matter. It looks practically the same if you downscale to 1440p.

My 280x can play Overwatch at 4k on medium without going below 60fps... Which is super impressive.

It's what you use to make the size of stuff on the screen bigger for higher resolutions. The higher the DPI, the bigger everything will be:

Oh yeah I am using windows 10 scaling to 150%. I have to. At 100% it is so damn small. Lol.

Edit: Question, this monitor says it supports free-sync but AMD's control panel says it doesn't support it.

I mean 720 is directly half of 1440 so it's 0.5 of the MR :P

You have a 280X? That's your issue, not freesync compatible...

Yep, too bad that all rebranded 2xx GPUs aren't compatible with Freesync, only the 290(X), 260X and 285 is...(for 2xx series GPUs) :/

I would strongly recommend that you do. It looks stunning and has onscreen control/split screen 2.0 which are pretty neat features.

Yeah that is kind of a downer. But looking at the text I am typing makes me much happier.
