I really think this could be big for PC gaming. But still I don't see me buying one... what do you think ?

Config of this machine:

GPU:       GTX780

mobo:     Asrock Z87E-ITX

CPU:       Intel I7

Storage:  2.5" HDD

Reactions:

+Bring console gamers to PC

+Nice and small

-Very rough design

-With this config, expensive.

-Only room for one SSD/HDD (maybe mini PCIe SSD?)

Is that a 770 or a 780?

The formfactor is amazing. It has the dimensions of a next gen console but 3 times the power

144Hz goodness

Hopefully this brings more people over to the PC. If so we could see more support from developers. I would still prefer to build my own, but I'm glad to see this.

CPU: Intel Core i5 2550K @ 4GHz | Cooler: Gelid Tranquillo Rev. 2 | Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

GPU: XFX 1GB HD6850 OC'd | SSD: OCZ Agility 3 60GB | HDD: Samsung 500GB | PSU: Corsair HX520W | Case: Zalman Z11+

Clearly a prototype. The design is very rough. Although, I love the size; I wish more manufacturers made PC cases this small and still have support for most GPUs.

If I had to nitpick, I don't like the vent holes... they are all different. Some are rectangles, some are more round, and some are circles... make it more unified please. And I wish there was a ODD slot, even a laptop drive would've been nice. I would've easily bought one of these for a simple HTPC.

i can see people building their own in the near future. Ive actually wanted to build something like this for a long time now.

The verge has an article about using the Steam machines and steam box. On top of it, we have our first look of what the prototypes will look like. They also have a few shots of the different stages the Steam controller went through.

You can find it all here: http://www.theverge.com/2013/11/4/5063760/we-try-the-steam-machine-valves-video-game-console-of-the-future

Oh so so nice.  It seems that adequate cooling may be an issue though.

Well considering that Steam are not a hardware company they have done a much better job than Sony or Microsoft which have been a hardware company for a while know. Steam managed to fit a 780 into a form factor that is as small as the PS4. That is some achievement. Sony and Microsoft should be put to shame.

Oh come on, the PS4 looks kinda good. Not as good as this, but it's not bad. The Xbox One though is a massive VCR player though :/
