Best laptop under $1500?

Looking for a gaming laptop for when I am not at home (so mainly weekends and vacations), any recommendations?

That's such a thick laptop though.

What about that new Acer coming out?  It's supposedly will be taking the place that Dell has held with the 7559.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

acer has some quality control issue. dell is the best laptop under 1k if he can put up with the weight this is a really good laptop.

I've heard Acer has come up in terms of quality control. (Trust me, I know about their quality control).

But yeah, the 7559 is the best laptop one can buy under 1K, and the weight isn't that bad, at all.

But thickness though.  Though in the end, it's up to OP.

Previously owned a Dell xps l702x, unfortunately it's kinda dated at this point. Get a max of like 20frames on final Fantasy 14, and now that the second ram slot died on it I see no reason to repair it less Dell wants to do it for free :b

They are already out. Well, they are coming out. Like the stock is there and the guys are frantically replacing the Skylake ones with Kaby Lakes ones on the website. Look at LPC Digital's site. They took down all the Skylake models and are putting on the Kaby Lake ones as soon as it's up. So currently only the 650HS and 650HP3 are out. the 650HP6 is really close LOL.

huh did not know that, then again there is not a single clevo reseller in Denmark anymore, the shop burned down and they have rebuild it now, but they no longer sell clevo....

Yes I don't really follow none Danish or none EU shops, but nice info, thanks m8 :)

Also keep in mind that Dell updated the 7559.  (Best laptop from last year).  Same price point as the Acer, but, you know, by Dell.

It also has a 1050 in it.

Yeah.  Granted the Alienware comes with a 1060 or better (and I'm a sucker for 13" laptops, just didn't have the money)... but the Dell and the Acer aren't bad.  They actually hit price to performance the best considering they're laptops.

im personally a sucker for 15-17"  laptops, but some of the ones listed in this thread have much better specs for a lower price of the alienware.
also a sucker for dell customer service, its pretty good in my experience

I've only had to contact them once, and that's how I found out that they build to order.  They seemed pretty decent in that one experience.

Having trouble deciding between an msi laptop or an Alienware one

Was considering the Acer posted earlier in this thread, but the heavy emphasis on red with no other options is kind of a deal breaker as silly as it sounds.
