is i5-4460 worth buying ?

I have this computer from my grandmother that she did not use for a while so I asked her if I can have it

specs are:

Intel Pentium G3220 3.0 GHz (with its regular heatsink)

a Corsair 8GB(4x2) Vengeance Red... I was really surprised

a 128 GB SSD

350 watt PSU

Asus H81M-K LGA1150/USB 3.0 motherboard.

And a 1080 p 60hz screen

Was planning on changing the PSU (to a 500 EVGA) and buy i5 4460 from Amazon is this CPU worth buying for games?

The GPU, for now, will be a Nvidia GTX 745 4GB

Don't get the EVGA 500W white

There are great options for $50 in the US and similar options in other places.

Check the board's compatibility list. It would be a shame if it weren't compatible until a BIOS update.

You undermine the power of i3s from the past 2 years. I max out GTA V 1080p with my minimum being in the 40s which is only during explosions.

I do agree, OP if you can afford an i5, put an i5 in there.

Also since you plan in upgrading the PSU and CPU, depending on your budget you can find like an R9 280x for $100 or anything in the $170 range an RX 470 would be great

OP, What brand prebuilt is this also?

I really don't know what brand, my grandma used to work for a retail store and got this computer to herself (as a work and personal PC). I was surprised that she had a 8 GB Corsair ram and a 128 SSD. I did add a 250 hard drive too since I am planning to give it away to my younger brother
