Gigabyte launches first Gtx 780 ghz card

So its true the ghz edition IS a thing but its at aib discretion only, not an official nvidia release. The first card of this denotion to appear is by Gigabyte the Windforce Ghz Edition. Although my question is this just a marketing ploy, and its just a binned chip capable of running 1000mhz + out of the box? What do you guys think?

I know right?? Even if it is just a factory ocd binned chip, Gigabyte FINALLY made a card on par with the lightning and classified.

Hmm, interesting. On Overclockers UK it is cheaper than the HOF, the Lightening, and the Classified. I wonder if that will be the same in the US or if these "GHz edition" cards will be higher priced. Either way, more high-end 780s that can beat a Titan out of the box is a good thing.

Why do you consider Gigabyte to be bad? I've never had problems with their products and their coolers are among the best.

Their cooler's build quality is atrocious, sure they perform well but they are flimsy crappy plastic.

Their rev 1 of the windforce cooler was plastic with a metal brace, but the latest cards are all metal(no plastic) and I can't see any droop unlike asus cards. Not to mention that 450watt TDP potential
