Were talking about entry level boards here, on an entry level chipset. You know enthusiast / gamer motherboards only make up a small segment of market  share when compared to entry level / simple boards.

Gotta put my tv tuner somewhere. Makes more sense on an atx board I'll admit, but as others have said this board looks more like it's been designed for legacy supports.

still lots of old PCI devices floating around used markets and some devices still use PCI iirc.

Pretty sure you need a serial connector to do the initial configuration on cisco hardware, and VGA is plenty fine for a 1080p screen in a computer lab.

my guess is for businesses, thats why it also has pci. backwards compatability is important outside of home use, i mean we still have 32 bit emulation which is only around for businesses.

Most home use applications, outside of new games, are 32bit.

If anything, many capabilities of 64bit systems are wasted on home users.

The fan header is normal-they just forgot to correctly orientate the cooler (or simply turn the fan around).

Yep-because of what they did. Also, they aren't under the mounting frame, just tucked under the heatsink (which you only do if you know the CPU won't get too hot, eg. around 90^oC like a certain LGA771 Xeon of mine did....)

You tuck it under the heatsink? No need to do that. Just attach it the side of it. And it seems they can't rotate the cooler for the sake of the AMD logo just for the photo.

The only 32 bit applications i encounter are drivers. which annoys me because its often for motherboards that support only 64 bit processors.
