Jumper118

Only if my Xeon wasn't a bottleneck... I was at one point with +640 on the memory getting a max fps of 140-142, min of 34-36, but average would be around 72.5. :/ Only if I had the money for a i7. Anyone want to buy a Xeon? :P

3c724956b186f0a6eb104c45141675c7.png

Oh and here is a no name Rosewill exhaust fan from the shitty Redbone case that houses a dead/fried dell motherboard with a poor Athlon ii x4 630 sitting inside doing nothing. I really need a much higher cfm fan if I want to use it for this, but hey, 2-3C cooler for +4MHz more on the core and +15Mhz more on the memory. :)

And yeah, I love that my computer is generally very quiet as it is literally right next to my bed 24/7, unless I'm at a friends house. :P

Hey all, is there any custom bios that would have the GPU run cooler on air, or is it strictly a cooling (air/water) factor? I thought I read somewheres that custom bios runs a GPU cooler but I'm probably mistaken.

I mean you could have one with it overriding max fanspeed risking killing them, but other than that no... Unless you want to try undervolting, but that isn't really worth it for a gpu. Unless of course its at its end of life and is about dead. :/

How happy are you with that BIOS? I'm either going to get the EVGA hybrid upgrade kit of a Kraken G10+X41 - BIOS mod for higher TDP is DEFINTILY required.

The BIOS is perfect for my needs. Enables maximuim possible voltage the VRM allows and fixates it to avoid fluctuation (which is bad for overclocking).

But you should never use this BIOS on air.

:( I was wondering why I haven't heard much from you. this thread isn't usually this dead for this long with the amount of traffic it is getting. And you're completely gone from the cinebench thread. Hope you get better soon!

Also, new motherboard for my Athlon ii x4 630 so I can overclock it and see if its good or not. Hoping so, it has lived in my house all its life, for 8-9 years.

P.S Got my 970 to score 3050, pretty sure that's all the Xeon will let it do.

Yeah same here. If the benchmarks are to be believed, the Fury line could match or best the Ti/Titan X cards.

Looking forward to it. :)

Well lucky you. :P I'm hoping the Fury is as good as we're expecting. It's good to see competition from both companies. We as gamers benefit the most. :)

Yeah I am actually gonna be doing a build log with 3 of them cause I'm moving to X79 and gonna do 3x1440p 144hz Freesync and get a new case as well as paint my desk and what not.

It's always nice to have new tech cos you feel compelled to do other things with it. Ha I got the reference Ti and am compelled to water cool it and add more ram and accent lighting in my case.

One thing leads to another. :)
