Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

Yeah, the R9 280 bench I did for valley the same card was my buddies old one before he got his 970 and it wouldn't overclock at all on his system and then put it in mine and got some seriously fast clocks out of it.

nice. i have a frind who has a GTX 770 ACX. Reference PCB just with that cooler on it. It has a G10 and a H-whatever (idk) on it. even though it does 40-55C tops he doesn't want to try and push it.

While a friend has the same card except with a JetStream cooler and he got about 1250MHz+ core. with my help :) custom PCBs help.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. I've only had reference for Nvidia GPU's so far. AMD has always been custom though.

Man Screw the fuck out of these new drivers for Kepler I lost 40MHz on my cards, going back to 337 drivers and I'm gonna see if I can get my 1410MHz Core bench speeds back again.

100% Stock GPU speeds and only with my CPU at 4.7GHz on the 335 Driver. Goes to show how boned the 700 series has been with the latest drivers.

GPU Cores boosted to 1188.9MHz which is stock and VRAM is at stock speeds.

that'll do

well he could also hit save for the vally bench and it gives you an html link file

so thats why vally kept going dark and stopped responding with my gpu only at 1209, which was running on the absolute max clock for 1.2 volts before

Go to 335 drivers trust me, Look at my post above. its almost 500 points better at stock speeds with 335 then the latest.

335 is the only driver you should use

I just scored 4300 points at the same speeds as the driver test for latest drivers. That should tell you something.

fuck it I think im going to archive all the drivers from 7 series support.

wont ever have to download another driver for it until they do something good for it

edit, making my own archive meow, only another hour(slow downloads from Nvidia site)

oldest driver is 337 on the NVidia support page.

I do however have an install for the 331.58 driver.

Figured I would re-run Valley with 14.12, and was able to bump the memory a bit and get a couple more FPS. My last scores were with the 8320 at 4.5, but I find it makes very little difference in Valley (like within the margin of error) so I left it on my 24/7 profile.

CPU: 8320 (undervolted at 4.0ghz)

GPU: R9 270 (1090core/1505mem)

FPS: 35.5

Score: 1486

Setting: Extreme HD preset

ValleyEHD1_zpsfy68b3qs.jpg

Same settings for Basic preset:

FPS: 71.9

Score: 3009

ValleyBasicA_zpsaavjwsds.jpg

I sure wish voltage wasn't locked on this thing; I have a lot of thermal headroom and wish I wasn't limited to 1.2V :(

Thanks for keeping things updated @Jumper118 , it makes it a lot of fun for me :)

Edit: I hope the Extreme HD screenshot is okay. I couldn't figure out how to show GPUz without taking a screenshot of the Valley score, opening it in a photo viewer, and then dragging the GPUz and notepad windows in front.

Get the card Cooler and I can garentee you can get the core higher, its mostly fault of the VRMs running hot.

I appreciate the tips! I am not so sure the power delivery is getting very hot though, the core maxed at 63C while running the extreme Valley preset and the open air cooler blows lots of fresh air at the entire PCB. I even have a 120mm bottom mounted intake blowing directly at the card. What software do you use to monitor VRM temps? I looked at AMD overdrive, HWmoitor, HWinfo64, AI Suite II, and GPUz and didn't see anything (but could have missed it)

I might take her outside if it is cold and I am bored some night!

The VRMs always get super hot there is no sure fire way to monitor them unless there is a sensor for them on the card. I know on the R9 280 I benched the VRMs were to hot to touch from the back of PCB on the card even at stock speeds. I brought the temps down and it helped even with the memory got it to 1250MHz core and 1850MHz memory. Which is much higher then the average overclocks for the 280's.

How do you get screenshots while Valley is running? When I hit "Print Screen" and paste into mspaint I get nothing but black, so I did a screenshot of my results page instead.

Hit F12 and it will save a screen shot in the user section of your drive in the valley folder
