Good anime?

I've gotten to the point of boredom where bloons td5 is my primary game, so anyone got any recommendations for good anime?

 

Any genre is welcome.

 

Edit: If anyone who has just visited the thread and wants to help me in my boredom struggle (although much help has been received), I'll list my preferences. Even if I said any genre is welcome...

"Reasonable" story (I was thinking of saying realistic but I don't think any anime is truly realistic) that has a plot that isn't too far fetched. Ex: Tokyo Ghoul, Berzerk

 

"Reasonable" romance (At this point I can't escape the childhood friend cliche so I have to deal with it), I don't relate to a story who has a female character instantly fall in love with the protagonist. Ex: Fullmetal Alchemist (I guess? It was the first one I could think of).

 

Preferably no anime cliches (there will always be some), I was watching Taboo Tattoo but the toast in mouth scene in ep 1 (I think?) and a couple of other things I forgot where a huge turnoff.

 

If I didn't mention something, I probably don't mind it.

Depends on your favorite genre of anime.

That's the list of anime I've watched, rated highest to lowest(in no particular order, don't quite have that much control on the lists), so that's probably my suggestion for good anime. Anything above 4 star is what I consider "good", 3 stars or so is "generic" and lower than that is "wasn't worth watching".

 

If you'd rather have a short and easy list, quick like that, I'd suggest:

Many disagree with me but I like Fullmetal Alchemist. The first, shorter run, NOT the Brotherhood run. Sorry to disappoint purists but that story self contained was better than the manga or brotherhood.

I personally like them both equally story wise,  but i prefer the animation style of the first. 

However brotherhood has olivier armstrong.  so i have to go with that as my favorite.
