I'm curious to see what you guys think is the best overall keyboard.

I think that its the Logitech G710+ hands down. Good looks, wrist wrest, macro keys, great layout, great switches (subjective), USB pass through, media keys and volume scroll wheel.

Let me know what you guys think.

I am a corsair fanboy, but Razer has bad quality and SHIT support (personal experience) so i sold my razer man o war ASAP

Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire for overall

But for quality hands down Ducky Shine 6 (upcoming)

Logitech make great mouses, not keyboards

For quality... probably HHKB (but I find the criticisms directed at the layout mostly accurate) or Realforce. I have a CM Novatouch as the only way to get Topre switches with reasonably easy to find keysets, since it has mx-like stems. "Gamer" keyboards are not generally well made and have superfluous features.

K95 RGB with Cherry MX Browns is probably the most "has it all keyboard", but you have to like what it has. Some don't need macros, or media keys, or a numpad, or a wrist rest, or they want other sort of keyswitches. Some think RGB is a fad as well, there is no 'one size fits all' keyboard.

Some like the K70, or K65 better. Coolermaster makes some of the best TKL boards and Ducky has some nice keyboards too.

Over the last couple of years, more and more keyswitch manufacturers have popped up too, like Gateron, which produce quality keyswitches too.

The answer is Ducky Shine 6 for build quality.

90 bucks vs 130? You tell me.

Now that I'm looking at it, not a big fan of the red backlight, might end up going with RGB (in which case you're absolutely right)

At 90 bucks get a k65 rgb rapidfire, it has no media buttons and its about 100 bucks

I like my K95 with reds, but am probably going to downsize to a Varmilo VB87M when the drop comes up again at massdrop. Going to get it with mx blues in white and black. The K95's great and all, but it takes up soooooo much space, and the cable gives me crabs whenever I try to properly manage it.

oi, that's an insult to the hardworking, sensible LGBT community. Gays don't want Razer either.

Ye, my bad, sorry for offending gays using Razer, now when I want to insult someone I say they game on a mac with razer products. Happy birthday tho, if you have 90 bucks save it for rapidfire, totally worth it.

Deep scratch...I wonder how it got there...

And FYI, I'm a Nintendo fanboy (and baised towards AMD+logitech) so as long as it has Cherry blues or greens and is priced well, I don't give a shite

There's a difference between shit quality and bad quality for the price but I got my blackwidow during a 50% sale so...you know...

K70 RGB with Cherry browns, i have the non RGB and thats the only thing i can think of sometimes missing, i cant have the Swedish flag over my keyboard lol. love my K70, i dont think macros are needed much, i have one on my mouse and thats it, it has media keys, it has a great keycap font, feels amazing and is a really good size. the USB passthrough is a nice feature too

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

the G710+ with cherry mx browns. I think it goes on sale quite often, and it's a steal when it does. all the keys come with o-rings pre-installed as well so you can test whether you like the o-rings or not (removing them is very easy, as they're installed at the stem of each keycap). i have this exact G710+ btw

I know plenty of people with cheap Amazon Essentials-type keyboards and dirt-cheap mouses that have lasted aeons, still wouldn't buy one and expect it to last the week.

And you're implying? Why don't I go get my K65 and start bashing it against my table? I'm sure it would survive as it's quality is just invincible

6 minutes ago, wrathoftheturkey said:

True, but for a surprising amount of people it is shit quality.

Thus they are mis-informed as they are really only overpriced rather than shit quality.

Poetry? Why would I read poetry? I cannot give a damn about poetry (but I do have to interact with em as you know...Scottish education system).

NO MEDIA BUTTONS? BIATCH MY HAND-ME-DOWN GOD-KNOWS-HOW-OLD CHEAP LENOVO KEYBOARD HAS MEDIA BUTTONS
