Note the photo below is showing whats is supposed to be normal operating temps of the original ps4. The PS4 Pro is supposed to run at half these temps.

Nothing to really quote from the source.

Pretty surprised to see this though. I know better than most how hot amd products can be (see signature), but geez this is whole other level. Glad I waited on buying the pro.

140F isn't really that hot. Seems like Sony bet too heavily on their casing here rather than any wrongdoing from AMD.

Fahrenheit. The temperatures were measured in Fahrenheit and not Celsius.

100 degrees Celcius, yes. Not Fahrenheit. The image says 140F. That's not much.

Let me remove that photo, as it seems that picture was trying to prove the system stayed cool

AMD set in Crossfire cant say that I'm surprised lol

It's not Crossfire. That was a misquote/false assumption. The GPU core is twice as large, but half the cores can be disabled.

Keep in mind that 140 is fahrenheit, not celcius. That translates to 60 celcius

this might be due to people putting their playstation in crammed enviroments. it probably doesn't happen if people actually follow the guidelines.

very true most people i know that have consoles have them inside their entertainment centers which are poorly ventilated

Just in case this disappears.

The temperatures here are in Fahrenheit. 140F is around low 60-ish Celsius.

If it's 60ishC on the outside of the plastic case.... how freaking hot must it be inside? Plastic generally is not a good heat conductor...

I'm pretty sure the 60ºc shot is of the exhaust vent.

See where it's clocked on the bottom right image? It's likely not much hotter on the inside.

You know what, it's apparently the regular PS4's temps. I wanna see temperatures on the PS4 Pro before I jump to conclusions.

Seems very fake, or something else was involved, the console would shutdown if it reached 100C, and most plastics would melt way higher then that.
