There are no Kaby Lake quad core parts available, I'm sure we'll see a refresh when they come out next year.

It's sexy, and If I had the money I would buy it, not that I need it.

What I like is that Razer is able to cram a GTX1080 in there while Apple's struggling with a GT750M in a design that's about the same thickness "because heat".

Ye ole' train

You must remember, that razer are using the new pascal architecture, which is many times more efficient in power (thus heat).

Apparently it has low profile mechanical switches in the keyboard.

I have a feeling this will eventually overheat or throttle down just like most of their laptops.

Ummmm......Razer is also facing a "heat issue", they just ignore it....The 1060 Blade throttles horribly.

A scissor switch with a mechanical actuator rather than a rubber dome actuator. So...semi-mechanical.

Honestly, I really like a (good) laptop keyboard (like the one on the MBP) -- imo a good laptop keyboard is about 80% as good as a mechanical keyboard. So if this improves on a traditional laptop keyboard (although, the keyboard on the other Blades is disappointing), then that sounds awesome to me.

It's actually a new design, unlike a traditional scissor it has an actuation and reset point like a mechanical keyboard.

That's because Apple actually cares about trying to limit heat. Razer on the other hand just lets the CPU and GPU throttle constantly.

I see they're finally using their low profile mechanical keyboard. This is extremely interesting since it should be much better than any other laptop keyboard out there except for those retarded fucking ones that pack a full sized cherry keyboard on them.

Hopefully we can eventually configure one with a 1070 and a crappier, non g-sync pannel since this thing looks to be at 3 to 4k USD.
