Yey another stove with quality control problems.

Also if I was Lenovo then I would sue them.

That is a huge lie, the Lenovo Y900 has a "ultra-low-profile" mech keyboard, last I checked the Lenovo Y900 was here before the Stove Pro with a 1080.

Pretty sure this was implemented on last gen Razer Blade's

Build quality cannot be good as long as they put it poorly together and have zero quality control.

Bother about Don.

On another note, I guess it's a good thing that it's not put together poorly and they do implement QC!

does this really need a 2160p screen

No, no it doesn't.

I'd prefer a 1440p G-Sync display @ 75hz.

Yeah personally a good 1440p display would be way better and more practical than a 2160p screen on a laptop.

I didn't even know that until you mention it.

No wonder there's no more don in any of the ASUS thread, RIP.

ahahahhaha, If they had QC then there would not be so many people getting a broken laptop. No it is not put well together, they use cheap glue and super cheap screws, I have taken over 5 of them apart and they use cheap materials to keep them together.

Still sucks if you're a left handed tho. I prefer my trackpad right in the middle because I actually use either hands whichever is convenient for me. If Razer can be 'inspired' with Apple new trackpad without sacrificing battery space, that would be a plus. They seemed to follow Apple footsteps a lot in the laptop department anyway lol

I do agree to a point. If it turns out to be a really really really good trackpad, which most today just aren't, as in it may be an actual mouse replacement then I can justify the position to a point, as a form of an experiment.

As a right handed person I do like this idea, and I'd like to try it, but I'm absolutely against it becoming something widespread.

It does suck for left handed people since this is not like mice where you can go and buy a laptop for left handed people. If they made another edition for left handed people or with normal positioning then I'd be all for it, but until then it's just an interesting experiment for me.

The size is stupid IMO. Should be 15.6 max, because at home gamers will use a 27"+ monitor and for portable utility, 17" too big.

There are plenty of people who want a 17" laptop.

I thought that too until I used a trackpad in that position. It solves touch-check problems when typing, but it's otherwise cancer.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Good touch-rejection works basically flawlessly though.
