Is this a good value? Low end build!

Consider you are looking to buy a low end system and not from a builders point of view.

This should still play most games at 720p on low settings.

APU - A6-5200

SSD - 120GB

RAM - 8GB

OS - Windows 10 Home 64Bit

Warranty - 3 Year Accidental Damage

Total Cost - $460

Consider that a system from Dell - with no GPU - with a similar build in over $800

Thoughts and Opinions Welcome!

if you are buying a prebuilt gaming pc at that price you are better off buying a console because you will get better performance.

I agree totally! The A6-5200 can handle a lot of games on low settings at 720p at approx. 25 FPS -- It is not ideal but playable non the less. GTA V - Overwatch - BF4 - LoL - Rift - WoW - Minecraft - .....the list goes on. Just a basic computer for a kid or someone on a tight budget.

i wont say 720p 25 fps is playable for fps games plus you are indeed better off buying a console or if you have the money just make a pc

To compair your prices... I am buying/getting the following computer @ 80 euro's:

AMD A85600k
mATX motherboard with enough SATA ports and ram slots.

8 gb DDR3

"a" power supply

"a" case

LG dvd writer

I'd only have to add an SSD, and that would be another 90 euro or so? And it performs probably better.

My advice: look at used components, when they are this much outdated.

With a prebuilt? Sure. APUs are okay, but you're not going to get nearly as far with an integrated GPU as you would with a decent mid-ranged graphics card in AAA games, even if you overclock the crap out of your RAM and CPU. I'd consider buying a graphics card like an RX 460 (or a 1050 Ti if it actually comes out) somewhere down the line.

I agree but thats $600 and self built --- This is from an OEM stand point as a consumer, with full support and warranty from the OEM. For only $460.

Totally agree but as someone looking to get a toe in the door, and having to wait a few months for a GPU, would you consider this a good value for the money?

To the right is the GPU part of your desired APU... I would not get that APU...

Thank you however I am going for the absolute cheapest possible build that can still play most MMO's, Steam Games, GTA V, and such.

Now add a 3 year accidental damage warranty to cover all those parts and Windows OS --- It's going to be about $650 -- Well outside the price of the original listed system.

It's okay for an OEM, but I don't expect much from them, anyway, as a lot of times, they'll try selling a PC with an R7 240 or GT 610 and call it a "gaming PC".

Support should NOT be a selling point, because it's often going to make you never want to buy a PC from them ever again if you end up having to use it.

Can't warranty used parts. Consumers would not buy a used built pc.....and would you warranty that build for 3 years and cover any damage for 80 euro's and included windows 10 64bit?

Agree'd but your average consumer likes seeing that warranty, gives them comfort and piece of mind!
