Windows installed and activated with no problems, thank god! xD

Were you afraid it wouldn't work for some reason?

(That's good it worked.)

What graphics card are you using again?  When is it coming?  Where did you get it from?

An R7 260X, performs similarly or better than a 750Ti, I got it from ebay and it should be here later today or tomorrow.

I used an OEM code from an old desktop so I didn't know if it would work.

✨PC Specs✨

AMD Ryzen 7 3800X | MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus | 16GB Team T-Force 3400MHz | Zotac GTX 1080 AMP EXTREME

BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 Samsung 850 EVO 250GB | NZXT 750W | Phanteks Eclipse P400A

Extras: ASUS Zephyrus G14 (2021) | OnePlus 7 Pro | Fully restored Robosapien V2, Omnibot 2000, Omnibot 5402

Cool.  Is that good enough for what your brother needs?

What version of Windows are you using?

$100-$200 isn't what I'd consider value.

in USD at least.

Some PNY DDR3 1866 memory, it was on sale for $35 at Microcenter.

His motherboard can't take advantage of the 1866 speeds though only 1600 :P

Is that going to work to mismatch RAM?

(I assume what's in it already isn't the same model.)

Does higher RAM speed matter much?  I've heard conflicting opinions.  ?

Sorry little off topic but: What about the wifi card?

-snip-

I'm not mismatching, I'm taking my ram back and putting the new ones in.

The WiFi card is a TPlink thing, I've decided I'm giving it to him because he'll be using wifi more than I will so I'm just going to keep using my USB one.

RAM speed doesn't matter too much.

Ah.  That works.

Is TPlink is a good brand for that?

I assume that means you mostly use Ethernet cables?

Firstly, Wi-Fi Cards are not Routers.

Secondly, Asus makes decent Wi-Fi cards.

Is there anything in particular that makes TPlink better?
