Look at what gear LMG uses for testing all ASUS mobos because they are amazing. I could care less about GPUs when the OG topic was motherboards

My point is that as a brand Gigabyte is considered to be very reliable.  Certainly no worse than ASUS.

Also, LTT using ASUS stuff doesn't mean it necessarily is the best just maybe that ASUS is sending them more stuff for sneaky product placement.   Free advertising.

ASRock actually isn't that bad, not the best but I think they're underrated.

What about one of the EVGA GS or GQ models?  I think one or both is supposed to be shorter so you'd have a little more room for cable management.

Just st look on pcpartpicker for whichever between the GS and GQ will fit in a Corsair 88R and that's the good one to use here.

Double the price. This a budget build and Tallon doesnt want to spend to much on it. 2 the price for a PSU you dont need for this. I know I have one, I love it, but I also have a 6500, plan tlo get 1/2 480s, and fold 24/7. This build doesnt require an expensive PSU

I know but I was trying to think of a compact PSU that will save space.  I used a Ranger M case for my secondary desktop before I moved it to an 88R.  So I know how cramped a Ranger M is for a PSU.

Anyway my concern is he should find a compact PSU.  If there's a small enough one for cheap then cool.  I'm not trying to suggest the only option is a super nice and expensive PSU.

The Seasonic S12ii/EVGA 600B will be able to fit in the Ranger-M, if it doesn't fit by default, that's why mods exist :P

I know you don't have an 88R.  I just said use that to put into the site so it'll show you some smaller PSUs.  Like the Ranger M the 88R doesn't have a lot of space for a PSU so both cases require a compact PSU that isn't too long or wide to fit well.

Actually now that I think about it you could just select the Ranger M and see what pcpartpicker shows you will fit.

Or try asking @STRMfrmXMN, maybe he knows of some compact size PSUs for cheap that you could look at?

But seriously, don’t get some cheap PSU. It’s #NotWorthIt

I know, I'm probably getting an S12ii or 600B depending on if the S12ii can fit in the $100 PSU/Motherboard budget (it does right now)

Can you find the Seasonic S12ii for the same price as that 600B or cheaper?  If so I'd suggest that.  I know I've heard Seasonic is one of the best PSU makers.

Not that EVGA is bad.  Just that their lower tier PSUs aren't as good as I'd prefer.

How would you mod the case to fit a larger PSU anyway?

The only reason I'm considering the 600B is because the S12ii isn't available at Microcenter and I don't know where my parents want me to buy from. Either Amazon or Microcenter.
