it can be a bit more and that is where I got my first PC. a laptop that I should have done more research on because I got a core i7 and a gt635m a great combo

yeah no der.. wanted a core i7 and a dedicated gpu. would have been fine with a i5 and a much better GPU

Industrial double sided tape  

(It's a laptop hybrid drive so I'm not too worried about vibrations)

 

And he doesn't need an optical drive so yeah.

Update 1:

Instead of the horrible Rosewill Ranger-M case I was going to use, I'm using my old ThermalTake CoreV21, I might paint it camo or green or something because my brother likes green, not sure how to paint cases though.

So this project is definitely still alive, it just might take longer than expected, my brothers birthday is October 25th so it will definitely be done by then, hopefully before, but I can't promise anything. I hope you all will still continue to follow the project however if you don't, I understand why.

 

This in no way means the project is over, just delayed a bit.
