Hey guys. Not sure if I should be making a new topic, but i'm new here (and to forums in general) andI was wondering. Are fans allowed to turn up to the LMG office? If not, can we ask permission from Linus or something? I live in london, and I'll be visiting Canada soon, so I was wondering if I would be allowed to visit. Thanks for any suggestions!

Yeah, but it's their place of work. Why would they want someone to come to their workplace uninvited and interrupt their work?

They did an event on the new offices for this very reason and I'm sure they're open to eventually doing a second one. Your best bet is that: wait for another tour or event instead of trying to impose yourself or worst show up unannounced.

I wouldn't do this, it's a bad idea.

What you could do though is hand-deliver fan mail to the office. I wouldn't bother Linus and the team.

Even if you did hand deliver it, I would suggest dropping it into their physical mailbox, and not bothering them.

As much as they would probably act cool if one or two fans showed up unannounced with no advance notice, it would still annoy them and get in the way of their job.

They will do another fan meet when they feel the time is right. I suggest the OP @TheSpectre waits until a fan meet, as that is the proper time to get an office tour, when they've planned for the loss of workload by having someone shepherd you around.

Send them a hand written letter, see if they reply. If they don't, they don't want you there, too busy!

I suggest you should buy them any food and drink of their choice, EVERYONE loves free food :D. (Maybe 1.25pounds of Blueberries for starters ;)) Also be creative with your letter make it stand out from all the bills they get...?

PM Linus, slick/luke or nick on the forums and see what they say? It's good to ask before you just show up at their front door :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

They usually do check fanmail so if you want to tell them something just pop a letter in their mailbox, i'm quite sure linus will read it.

Or free food as suggested is also an option :D a bunch of pizza's probably does the trick.

If you just pop in a letter with the pizza's they probably wouldn't mind as much that you are bothering them :P

Looks like they do this every 3-4 months, or when they think they have enough stuff :D

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Yes! I'll write them a letter, and I'll be like also, I'll bring pizza! xD. The only thing is, that I live in London, UK, and I'll be going to Canada in like a few months, specifically vancover. That's why I was wondering. So hand delivering will kinda be a problem.

Wonder if they ever managed to eat them all. They probably don't want to see more blueberries any time soon.

Yes, it is. But there's the chance of walking into the office with a recording in session etc. Also, just kinda think about it. You wouldn't really be happy with a random person walking into your place of work.

Nothing.

There was a thread like this before a year ago or so i think on which Linus came in & replied kinda ambiguously terms like "if i don't know this person, never met him before, is this person a threat to the family members/employees , random person on door saying he knows me & want to come inside" etc, He didn't explicitly say to the OP "No do not come", but he said that he's be 'uneasy'  in a way & put him on alert or something like that,  this was when they ran things from their home/garage , but i think in the office they have a visitors room so it's okay now i guess, but do write ahead & see if it's alright, getting a hold of nick light would be appropriate to see if things are okay (you get an early reply compared to linus if he missed his pm)

Details separate people.

I'm sure if you talk to people who have come by to ask for a tour and been turned away, they'd say we were rude and didn't care, were assholes, whatever else... But trust me, it really sucks and I wish the situation would allow for it.

Do people do that? Turn up to the office uninvited?
