You shouldn't attack someone who disagrees with you. You should make a statement as to why their point is either factually incorrect, or why their plan of action would cause net-harm instead of net-gain. Or you can agree to disagree and go your separate ways. But trying to silence one another or just devolving into insults solves nothing, and ends where we are now, as a nation.

You missed the part where I also said we should leave the middle east entirely.

Wars are awful, and unfortunately they're apart of life.  When you are engaging in conflict, people die, innocents die, and that's the thing - it happens.  It has to.  You have to be as aggressive and fast acting to make sure a war doesn't last longer than it should.  You crush the enemy, and then you offer them aid, and try to mend it.  It's a sad system, but it's all we will ever have.  Cultures, and religions aren't going away without mass genocide and the curbing of freedom.

And wars do have one positive:  They affect the culture of a generation.  They change thinking and can actually create long-lasting periods of peace, or immense instability and bloodshed.  IE:  Middle East.

But instead you do the same thing. I heard no arguments why you shouldn't be allow to share these ideas of hatred against other people. 
Also, giving all  people a proper voice would be stupid. No one could defend the opinions of murderes, psychopaths or child molesters. Agreeing with murdering thousands of people in a war would classify you as a murder accomplice in my book.

The whole problem with war, is that their are groups of people trying to enforce some made up "power" they supposedly have over one another. THAT is the problem, and should be adressed.

Power isn't something made up. It's something agreed to, or enforced by violence. Violence is the supreme authority from which all authority is derived. This is a sad but true fact of life.

 

That's why the best presidents that the US ever had, were the ones who didn't want to be president (Washington and Eisenhower are the only ones I can think of at the moment. Neither wanted to be president but were pressured into it.).

 

Another interesting side-note. Eisenhower left office, and warned the American people about the military industrial complex.

I would rather avoid wars if possible. But if we have to fight, I'd rather we did so in a way that it is impossible for us to lose, or be drawn into a quagmire as we currently have.

The power is certainly not made up.  People prop these people up either through revolutions or through democracy, put them in positions of power and those countries, governments make use of what they are given.  Unfortunately many governments, or well, all of the governments aren't friends, are in it for their own interest, and will try to flaunt power over one another, and it's power they do have.  Power to manipulate other governments, economies, military might.  It's unfortunate, but it's the way the world is, and always will be.  At least until either all religions are killed off, cultures are unified, and everyone is a single mixed race.  Which'll never happen, and we'll likely nuke ourselves or have the singularity take control for us.

Why not discuss a proper solution for dividing power rather than just stating that someone should take it?

Because life is the way it is, and you have to accept it.  War is an inevitability between people, between governments, and the best thing you can do to mitigate the damage is to end them as fast as they start.  The sooner you defeat your enemy - the sooner you can mend the wounds, and rebuild them and yourself.

Lawyers write the laws, lawyers create vague meanings to allow other lawyers to get around the laws they right, addendum and asterisks are common.  The saying that all lawyers go to hell, is pretty much accurate, as they have to be on no side.  Well, for the most part.  In general.  You can't divide power either, I mean, you technically can by having every person in a populace armed, and with absolute democracy, and that'd be bad.  The latter would be bad.  Absolute democracy would be chaos.  That is why Republics and Unions exist.  Us is the nation.  The people.

I could never agree with the idea that one just has to accept the way things are. If that were true, nothing would ever change, and as far as we can tell, it has in the last few decades/ages.
Statements like this just kill any proper discussion in it's tracks.

(reminds me of discussions with some christians. whenever they get tired or don't proper arguments, I just get the" no but the bible/god says so.)
