Post your Cinebench R20+15+R11.5+2003 Scores **Don't Read The OP PLZ**

Need some general advice from you guys. The time is rapidly approaching to burn in my gaming box on cinebench. Finally installing the G3258 I've had lying around for 2 months.

Question is: how likely is it that I will completely blow out my Z97i-Plus by throwing 1.45-1.5v at the G3258? I've only had one board ever die on me and coincidentally it was another Z97i-plus that blew with AIDA64 and a 4690k (1.27v). Now I do realize that the board was a complete fluke and something was physically wrong in the first place, but I've never thrown that kind of voltage at a CPU, not sure what to really expect.

I had 1.45v running fine on my 4690k/z97i-plus :)

Did someone say Pentium? Its getting properly cold here and work is slowing down. The third Pentium is prolly gonna get the old delid and maybe a proper naked mount. My 2nd H220 pump has died. when swiftech sends me the replacement pump I may try once more to break that 1000 point barrier on the 4770K.

G3258 show no mercy.

Well as soon as the GPU ships I'll be dropping the hammer on case+PSU. Expect a wonderful excursion into CPU killing a couple days later :D

with a pentium being so low power you should be ok up to pretty high voltage. it will depend on the current draw. it a true 6+2 power phase so it should be ok. its actaully a pretty nice vrm and power phase system :)

Just thought I'd ask, as I care waaaaay more about the MOBO than the CPU. Pretty sure this is the only time where my CPU cost less than my MOBO

Best I could do at about 4.85 GHZ by boosting my block by 1% with a multiplier of 48, I bested my previous score by a small margin, but I dont want to go to 1.4 since my bios put that margin in the red color hahahaha.

thats a pretty good score. these chips handle 1.6V or less no problem, if you can keep it kool.

going past 1.8V will kill your chip

you must be using a gigabyte board :)

I am using a Asus Z97-A board, it has pretty decent feature.

Well, I use a noctua NH-U14S as my cooling and 3 outake top+bottom and 2 intake front as my cooling. that's pretty mid range cooling so I'm not sure that's the best idea to go to 1.6V hehehe. Realtemp indicated me 91C on 4.9 + 1.325V when I was doing the intel burn test at 4.9 so going over 1.4 seems a bit extreme with my actual cooling solution. I had my cinebench score on my desk with a closed casing but once it hit aroud minus 10C to minus 20 outside I guess I'll put my PC near the outside open door to cool it a few minutes before I turn it on, then may be I'll be able to stabilise enaugh on 4.9 over 1.4V for a Cinebench run. DO you think that would be a good idea?

x5460/x5470 are good to start with. x5450 is generally the best price though but you'll be pushing it on the FSB at 4.4ghz+

Not too bad.

You still need to beat my highest score, don't think its submitted yet but it's well over 5 pts :)

$30?? Damn that'd be like £60 here (which is probably closer to $105 cad).

Anyone running Windows 8 or 8.1 don't bother with OCing as Cinebench will only read the default CPU clock. CPU-Z will show your OC clock speed.

Task manager will show the "Maximum Speed" the stock speed of your CPU and "Speed" the speed your CPU is running running at. Cinebench will only read the clock from Maximum speed.
