If I keep slowly increasing the PLL say to 1.91 from 1.9 I wonder if I could net 4.8GHz to be stable at 1.4V.

Is it worth while to try this and see what happens? Also will see if I can get my ram to run at least 1866-2133MHz with my current CPU overclock.

Will probably have to check overclock.net to see what other people have got on these Samsung sticks.

Ram speed is a big help, I ran a 2133 kit and it boosted me from 964 - 975 in cinebench so that helps a lot, I haven't ever touched the PLL so I don't really know on that front.

Now running 4.6GHz and 2200MHz ram speed. clocks in 647cb on R15. As much as i'd love to go higher, 4.7GHz and 2133MHz is what i've managed to top out at.

Try enabling PLL overvoltage and setting your SVID to 1.9v

Not 100% sure myself not looked too far into it. ASUS recommended I do it when pushing overclocks.

 

It made me get 4.8GHz stable 24/7 which previously wasn't possible so... worth a go

Good luck, I've given up on 4.9GHz from my 4690K.

 

Maybe with a full ATX board or something, don't think my tiddy ITX board has the balls to run 1.5v

I know my boards got the power delivery(16 phase power) for pushing high voltage but I don't think my chip has it in it.

Yea haswell is like that... most other CPUs will get to a clock bench stable with voltage. With haswell you get to a clock stable and that's it  regardless of voltage

you can only give it more volts, you can't really do much else. you can try overclocking the cache if you haven't already.

If you want to risk it... increase cache voltage =D

dang... I did 45 in a G3220 D:!

I don't know if it might be core being unstable and crashing or if it's cache because I can run 4.8ghz but the second I push 42 cache multiplier it won't bench

So for the lulz I took off my Asus EN210's heatsink (passive) and threw it into my R7 250... expected massive throttling... 4 mins of full load and it's only 85 ºC... I'll keep torturing =D

because you only have one post and that is one of the highest scores i've ever seen can you run that again and open a notepad with your forum user name and have the memory and main board tab of cpuz open please.

Some updated scores on all three tests. 84 fps on a GeForce GTX 650 Ti certainly isn't bad

 

 

Here is my HP Elitebook 8460p with a Core i5-2520M which I would have thought would score a little higher unless it was throttling because of the temperature.
