I highly doubt i could take the multiplier any higher. Maybe a slight base clock boost, but i doubt anything over 105BCLK. I like my 1.2v 4.5GHz 24/7 OC, though. At Idle i only consume 73w, which makes me happier than most overclocks.

Get your i5 problem fixed? BTW, congrats on the switch. I was big into HWBOT a few years ago. I was in the top 5 air cooled worldwide for the Phenom II X3 720BE for a while but then they released a new batch and some people got even more lucky. Funny part is it was on an AsRock Mobo. The 790 chipsets for some reason seemed to favor AsRock and Biostar. That was also when unlocking Phenom II cores was the shite.

the i5 needs a fresh install to work i think but its an oem licence so i don't know whether it will work if i reinstall  :(

Try reinstalling and then call windows automated verification. I have had to do that on OEM builder versions of windows a lot. I always end up talking with a customer service rep and you just give them a long code that they verify.

I think there needs to be a slight adjustment to when screen shots are made since:

1. Cinebench doesn't always report cpu speed properly.
2. CPU-z screen shots during non-load gives inaccurate speed and voltage numbers for the benchmark.  (I always load up the cpu while taking screenshot).

Like taking one during the benchmark: (damn, my voltage goes even higher during opengl and single thread runs.)

i do try to check the frequency in there sig or cpuz if they only have the frequency on cinebench. the voltages don't matter much for the score board, but it might for people who are interested.

I hear and believe it to be a bit dangerous to pay too much attention to anothers voltage anyway. What may be safe and stable for one person may not be so for another. But it would be interesting to know how your chip is behaving compared to thiers.

yes you can't just go put others peoples voltages into your chip because they are all different, but it can be a good reference of how good someone else's chip is and whether they are likely to be able to get a higher score and beat you if they overclocked a bit further, this would also depend on their motherboard though.

Very good point. Reminds me how, for example, if I wasn't afraid of frying my motherboard I would be surprised if I couldn't get to 5GHz on my chip. See how it can get to 4.8 on 'only' 1.4 volts. But, even if I were to get a hold of a motherboard that could take it I would work up slowly and properly to that from what I know instead of just going for 5GHz at 1.5v.

How come you have so many current cpu's? i have loads of cpu's but most are 32 bit because they are much cheaper. Impressive score by the way. you've beaten my 6200@5ghz (RIP) single thread and that is the highest amd score so far  :( . Are you going to try 5ghz or was that not stable or maybe too hot :P . if its too hot you can always do what i did and disable all but 2 cores and see how far you can push it on those two cores and increase your single thread score.

 heres the deal.

i bought a 4770k at launch. it died due to overvolting and was delided as well. so I did what any decent human would do. I adhered the IHS back on with some black gasket maker and sent it in for RMA. I was told from my retailer RMA could take up to 8 weeks ( and I wasnt 100% certain I would be approved) so I bought the 4670k to hold me over thinking I would just sell it on ebay if I got the 4770k back.

RMA was approved. Big thanks to my friends at intel. Im not sure if I want to sell the 4670K right now as it may find its way into my mediaserver.

the 8350 was just a great deal i picked up used from a local sale.

all 3 items for $170.00 CDN

I wanted to play around with the amd 8core. I am at heart an amd fanboy, but I havent touched AMD ever since intel launched C2D @ .65nm :)

so far i can tell you im not impressed with the 990fx chipset in terms of overall throughput. was not able to run my 2400mhz ram @ 2400MHz . cool and quiet doesnt work with an aggressive overclock.

the 8350 setup will most likely hit ebay within a week or so. I may even make a couple dollars after I bench the shit out of it.

I wish the forum had a buy\sell\trade section so I could pass some savings off to community members.

I see. i think phenom ii's were pretty good amd chips at the time but the fx series seems to have really killed the cpu side of amd. I was never very impressed with my 6200. ow many volts did it take to kill your 4770k?  ts great thatyougot itrma'ed when it was delidded as well  :P . we do need a buy and s ell section on here, then you know what the person is like if your have seen there other posts whereas people on ebay can be a bit dodgey.

welcome! :) i have added your score to the doc linked in the op. that air cooler you've got is really good  I've read some reviews where it has beaten some cooler twice the price. if you re run the test without chrome cpuz and hw monitor open you could get those extra 3 points to move up a place  ;) .

what motherboard do you have? have you tried overclocking the memory on your gpu's. That might improve your score as it is clocked fairly low on 7850's
