All I want is to be able to find a 1080 in stock that isn't $300+ over the msrp. Is that too hard to ask?

That's good if it did but I'd still wait until the non-reference 480s are available if I decide to get one.  Right now I'm trying to decide between the 480 or a 1060 for the build I'm planning.  It won't be my main desktop so top of the line performance won't be needed.
