Your preferred screen size for smartphone?

kuzimins

So i was wondering, what screen size do you prefer. I have a 4.2" screen in my Xperia Arc S, but i think its too small, so i will probably get a phone with a 5" screen. Also would be nice if you explain why. Thanks!

I don't always have time to study, but when I do, I don't.

Anything that fits, small phones have their advantages imo but large screens are so lovely. I haven't tried other than 4,5 screens so can't comment on the exact size

My Samsung Galaxy S2 is an alright size, though as someone with larger hands, a slightly bigger screen wouldn't hurt. Something around the HTC One / Sony Xperia Z1 size would be ideal.

4" and no more than that because I got a small hand. I borrowed my friend's galaxy s3 for a day before and it don't find any comfort aside from the bigger text.

This is how it works on

First I got a phone with a 2.2"(i think) screen. it was a samsung soul b

Then I got a 3.0" lg gt 405. It felt huge but I got used to it after some weeks

Last winter I got a 4.3" phone(acer s500) and again, I tought it was huge but I got used to it even faster

Now if I play with some 4.7" phones, they look big but I think that after some days I could get used to it very quickly

The same thing would probably happen If I would get a 5"+ phone

AMD Athlon X4 750k; Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2; 8Gb Corsair XMS 1600 Mhz; AMD Hd5670 1Gb DDR3; Bequiet E6-600W; W7 Ultimate x64

4-4.5" because I like to use my phone one-handed quite a bit.

5.5"+

  • Generally these devices have huge batteries. (My Note 2 lasts forever)
  • Easier to type on, even in portrait.
  • Easier to show a picture or video to friends
  • Browsing the web is wonderful.

I need more SSDs.

Depends if it has on screen buttons. My HTX One X had 4.7" and i was quite happy with it. But my Nexus 4 has these (ugly, nonsense, bullshit) on screen buttons, so it's 4.7" display is a bit too small imo. That and the camera are my only complaints about the N4.

who cares...

For one handed typing, 4.3"

For two handed typing, 4.8-5"

Using an HTC one right now, like the bigger screen for watching videos, but really for one handed typing there's nothing like the iPhone, can hold the phone steadily in one hand and just type. Think the 5"+ devices are ridiculous unless you have huge hands...

I have a HTC One and the screen size is perfect for me. I think at 5" one handed typing goes down the drain...

I'd like something a little bigger than 5" to be honest, 4.7" is nice, but I could go bigger without it getting into two-handed territory.

I don't have hands that are that big, but after having a 5 inch phone everything smaller feels like a toy so I have to have a larger screen size. From more of a comfort perspective

I am good at computer
