Does the 212X go with the i7-4790 nicely?

I want to get a CPU Cooler since my CPU is getting temperature above 75 Celsius while playing Black Ops 3, is it worth it? Or are the temperatures fine for the CPU? I am worried for my PC's health.

get the noctua nh-d15 if you can afford it and stand the look of the fanns :) otherwise the hyper 212 x or evo or whatever is fine

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Is this with stock speeds? If you plan to oc get a that cooler and you are good to go.

75c is fine. You're fine up to 80-90c at load.

non-k 4790 at those temps are fine, a 212 would be perfect if you need more cooling, no sense in getting a nh-d15 for a non-k or non-extreme OC
