What about a SuperFun where two LMG members must compete against each other in a game, with the side effect being that their controls have been rebound by someone working for the enemy?

Like this:

Team one, let's say, Jon and Taran. Team two could be the Nick and Berkel.

Jon and Berkel would be gamers and Nick and Taran would be remappers.

Nick would have to remap Jon's keys and Taran would have to remap Berkel's keys without Jon or Berkel knowing.

Then Jon and Berkel would have to return to their keyboards and start racing: first to figure out what key does what and then racing to complete, say, one stage of a game. The first person to complete the goal with their keys remapped by someone else without their knowledge wins!

What do you think?

No. Just using that keyboard and keeping wasd as the controls on the game so they have to use wasd on that weird keyboard and play a multiplayer game and see who wins. That seems a lot better

not to poo-poo the idea, but what is the end result?

what gain in gaming performance or game play can be achieved switching from qwerty to dvorak?

devoting 5-50hrs of planning, shooting, editing, and production to show in 10mins gaming on a different keyboard layout.

gotta have point to prove, disprove, theory support, optional gains, etc.. spending company time/money/manpower isn't a cheap venture.

maybe why it hasn't be done yet?

nah its more of a CSF idea not LTT if you think about it, watch them struggle to game on it xD dont let them bind keys so its easy to use make them map keys to make it the same as pressing WASD, so like they cant put <AOE for walking forward backwards and side to side,

I think OP means it more like a challenge video. Like those challenge videos where people have to play a game with inverted controls (on a controller, meaning tilting the control stick to the left, will make the character look to the right, etc.)

I didn't realise that "fun" was not a word in most techies' day to day vocabularies, but clearly that is the case. The OP clearly indicates this would be just for a laugh.

As the OP of this post, all of you guys are right.

With your rules and ideas, all of this could be very funny to watch on CSF. And as Airdeano says about the

production cost and all that, they could do it like what they used to do on the earlier videos on CSF. You don't always need to edit a video to much.

I also want to say that you guys are extremely creative and supportive, so yeah, THANK YOU :D

you can't reach the keys for say a standard shooter

here's a concept-

people that game on dvorak rebind wasd to <aoe and so on

so

it's exactly the same!

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch
