Hiya. Im looking for a fan to put on my PC rear that's capable of high speeds. It doesn't have to be quiet, but I don't want it to sound like a hairdryer. Just a fast speed, I'm thinking somewhere above  2000rpm for a price around £10. Also has to be 120mm

Thank you! Also I'm from UK so pls don't link foreign items if I can't get it here.

My Cryorig QF120 Performance is "quiet" at low speed. Ramp it up to 60% and it's loud. Ramp it up all the way (2,200 RPM) and it's a hair dryer. There's no way around it. RPM that high is going to be freaking loud.

Look for CFM instead. That's a measure of how much air a fan can push in ideal conditions. Not sure if Cougar is available in the UK, but solid 120mm fans should be right in your price range.

Faster speeds don't mean better cooling. Just get any Noctua, Corsair, Thermaltake, etc fan.

Why would you want to get higher rpm fans when you can get lower one with same performance?

I'm a complete noon when it comes to cooling. I assumed RPM just meant like, speed lol.

I think the fan you currently have could be an interesting option, I'd like to have something that i can control, which is something I can't  do with my current molex fans lol.

If you do go with a 120mm Cryorig fan, I recommend the Balance over the Performance. It's "only" 1,600 RPM, but it's much quieter at all speeds. I'm actually contemplating how to steal the Balance off of my wife's H7 cooler and swap my Performance onto it without her noticing that her Pentium is now a jet engine.
