i really like this laptop but the cpu and the ram are not going to cut it. so is there a way to just attach some ram or a cpu externally when i need a bit of extra power. i have a tight budget so dont say to get the $999 version.

RAM should be upgradable.

But you cannot "attach" a CPU.

You MIGHT be able to upgrade the ram, but otherwise no,  you cannot upgrade anything else

Externally no. You could look used and see if you can find an older laptop with some more power.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

It's badness level is over 9000.

The Intel Atom series is why people hated Vista, Intel certified the CPU for the new OS when it was not actually capable.

There isn't such device as an external CPU, nor would I recommend upgrading it on this tiny laptop. The RAM is not expandable on this specific laptop because there are no available free slots, only one spot which is taken up by the 2GB stick in there.

Just solder a usb cable to the pins of a new cpu and the plug it in over USB3.1 and itll read as a new processor, do the same for ram!

You cant, the CPU is not upgradable and laptop CPUs are expensive so you may aswell just buy a better laptop

$200 laptop plus $50 ram plus $100 CPU  = $350 laptop or whatever
