please help i wanna buy it for vr and if it doest have the right things can u guys tell me which card i can get that can do 1440p 60 and VR

Didn't even have the thing for many years but it eventually starting shutting my computer off from voltage spikes just sitting at the desktop.

I have a dead Thermaltake on my floor right now as well. It didn't survive.

 

I would not risk running any high end GPU in it. You might end up losing it.

That one is okay. I would recommend the EVGA 750W G2. I'm installing one right now for my friend's PC and it's really nice.

 

The old PSU was a Corsair CX430....and it died...

It's better I suppose. I'd say to go to the Power Supplies section of the forum and make a post asking for an alternative to the one you're using. In the post say how much you're willing to pay, what components you have to power, do you want it modular/semi-modular/no. And any other useful pieces of info.

 

Edit: Like scotty said the EVGA 750 G2 is a good PSU, I use it in my build for a 980 ti and it works like a charm, I haven't had any sort of problem with the amount of power.

DAMN. $300 for a PSU. Okay. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr You don't need to pay anything near $300 for a good reliable PSU, I mean if you're going into SLI later then please do get something more than the one I prescribed, however, one 980 ti on that PSU will be absolutely fine.

For powering a 980 ti along with all the other components... The 750W G2 that I posted above. IMO
