(Updated - more cards included)The first Hitman DX 12 benchmarks appear - with interesting results

Mr_Troll

The first Hitman 2016 benchmark appears - interesting results

It looks like Async compute on amd does make a huge difference. because we can see the 390 beating a 980 by decent margin, and a 390x getting almost the same performance and a custom overclocked 980ti. Not all cards are represented but u can already guess how it will look like. So check it out:

1080p (DX 12)

hitman-pc-directx-12-benchmarks_5

1440p (DX 12)

hitman-pc-directx-12-benchmarks_4

4k (DX 12)

hitman-pc-directx-12-benchmarks_3

Lololol. 390 and 390x on the same level as a  titan X. ROfl.

Biased much?

you make it sound like a stock 390x is as good as an overclocked 980ti

thats not a stock 390x, thats factory overclocked

the differences are pathetic across the board

the only notable difference is the 390 that goes from sub 60FPS avg to above

If you think this is confusing, wait for GameGPU's graphs.

Wasn't one of the recent disastrous Nvidia drivers supposed to be for this game? At least their dx 11 performance should be better when they release working drivers so I wouldn't put too much in this benchmark.

Yea i just clicked on the source and its OP's fault for not explaining the graphs or croping them too much cutting out the important info.... Mostly because the same blue is used to highlight which DX is being shown and then again used in the graph to show minimum fps....

Yes u are but if he posts in News section he is posting for all the people on the forum. Graphs without explanation of coulour codes are useless and confusing :)

Where's the fury x? I sure hope AMD can stir up the competition. I need a newer gpu regardless of manufacturer anyway.

OP's fault? I think its pretty clear in the post... OP even labelled which graph is for which and in each graph there is the resolution and api stated.

1080p (DX 11)

1080p (DX 12)

1440p (DX 11)

1440p (DX 12)

4K (DX 11)

4K (DX 12)

I don't think you can blame OP for that...

Graphs are pointless if someone doesn't know what the bars represent.

I though t it was showing dx12 vs dx11 difference. But it shows average and minimum fps.  And this information is not mentioned anywhere in OP's post. It's only in the source link which is written in Dutch.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

So you just blindly ignore the labels OP put in the post?

They don't tell my why there are two bars. Stop being mean.

The image itself has DX12 and DX11 in it and DX12 is colour coded and it happens to match the colour used in the graph.

If u can't see it from my point of view then stop hating on me. OP did not provide full graph legend to tell me why one bar is blue and one orange.

Herp derp discussion.

If you've ever seen a fps-graph with avrg. and minimum. Cuz what else would it be? Max fps and the amount of apples the dude ate while benching?

Completely useless discussion.

Anyhow. Kinda weird to see the 390/x there but no mention of Fury/x in the DX12 graphs.

I think Nvidia has a hard time adopting to DX12 right now...
