Are only 9% of gaming computers actually ready for VR gaming? Maybe, but that might not be the full story...

Euhm, and the point if this topic is...?

It is like a re-post, lol.

And i believe that indeed only 9% is ready for VR, since that is the amount of gamers that can play at 1080P/60fps.

PC masterrace is not that big of a race, lol.

Hello! My rig i54440, Gigabyte mobo, 8GB Corsair RAM, R9 280X. Totally not ready for VR.

I feel like the gamer PC enthusiast community has been at a slowdown the last year or so. What I mean is that ya you could have a $30.000 PC if you have the bank but what's the point? You can play any triple A games on Ultra glory on a $2000 PC, So everyone has never had a need to upgrade to kingdomcome. Untill now! All of a sudden it's VALVE that woke me up to think "holy piss! My PC needs an upgrade!" I think this whole VR gaming which hasn't even started yet, will cause a upgrade frenzy in the coming months. Not that that is a bad thing. That's just my two cents on the topic.... Now to start saving money. Lot's and lot's of money...

Lucky I don't have an interest in VR then, isn't it?

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Had to do 2 tests since the initial test used my Intel 4600 instead of my R9-270. Had to disable the Intel graphics via Device manager to get the VR Test to recognise and use my R9-270. Anyway both tests are a fail for me.....:(

CPU: i5-4570

GPU: R9-270

Most people haven't got over the fact their score means jack all because the cost is more than the average PC gamer is willing to spend on anything other than a graphics card.
