Something else that will skew the results is that the results on the Steam hardware survey are from Feb.

I'm on /r/oculus an awful awful lot and the consensus for the past few years is wait. You don't need to get your GPU yet, wait for the release.

Now we are approaching it, so some will have bought it. Some will have April/May/June/July ship dates and April + for Vive as well.

If I were them I'd be waiting and getting my upgrade closer to the time I was getting my headset so I got the best value for money.

Last little bit is all the prebuilts. I know most of us here build them, but both Oculus and Vive have "VR ready PCs" from Partners, which I think don't ship till the release?

So that is more potentially powerful hardware that isn't online or on the survey yet, in addition to last minute upgrades.

Don't get me wrong, I know the total number of people that can run it will be fairly low, but I'd expect higher than 9% like you are trying to prove.

Every time i do the test it detects Intel HD graphics only. I tried disabling the integrated graphics from device manger, doing that crashes steam vr performance test. Also in the bios i only have an option of disabling dedicated graphics card. nothing for integrated graphics. I have a gtx640m le. I know its not enough for vr performance. still i would like to know how it performs.

I am fine to run VR but i think that it is overpriced for the amount of use i would get out of it. I will wait till it comes down in price.

lel ez. However I'm too parsimonious to spend 700€ for the HTC Vive.

Sorry for the bad picture quality... and that the performance test is in German.

I think you can imagine what the text says.

Why are you folks posting your results in this thread?  Go the survey thread and do it there.  And answer the poll, too, which is the important part.
