Because they can Some of us are into that, certainly not me.
Maybe some hardcore datamans transfers lots of bites real fast and need the cooling touch of the sweet nectar to keep files blazin 0-100 real quick fam
Well, some drives can get pretty warm. A concerned owner might do it due to paranoia. However, there are some people who use liquid cooling because it looks cool over an actual practical reason.
Given the overkill nature of watercooling, that is just what it is. Overkill.
Some SSDs thermal throttle and transfer speeds are slowed by that.
