ah no it isn't, it's on auto...whatever that does (lol)

Why the manual voltage? You really shouldnt increase voltage on a 9590 if you don't have to...

I'm going to say that 1.5 volts is probably not ok because that would kill an intel CPU, but for all I know maybe the FX 9590 is a masochist and happens to like that kind of torture.

I have to run it disabled on my 8120 so it doesn't drop to 3.4GHz and go back to 4.5GHz in less than a second repeatedly past 25% load... Also keep the vrms cool on that board with some fan, even the little tiny ones that come with stock amd coolers. Don't want to kill that nice board since 9590s are power hungry.

isnt the crosshairs v and saber tooth only boards that can support 9590?

No other boards support it, just they're the best options for one. Also the two best boards for overclocking on AM3+. I got mine for cheap and everything was still sealed besides the motherboard. :D

it's fine if he has the cooling... it's a old arch on a larger manufacturing process and tends to take higher voltage better. But yeah... that Voltage is killer to modern Intel CPU's...

that's logical. Just add as little as possible then.. You just don't want it at that voltage 24/7 though... let the cpu downclock when you don't need it and the voltage drop so you get more life out of it unless you don't care.

I'd say Sandy can handle 1.5V...

Why is Turbo Core is on....if it was at stock volts and stable then it's fine. Otherwise just downvolt to where its stable.

If you can downvolt with the CPU being stable then do it, i had 1.28V stable at 4GHZ...

downvolt how much

I normally keep Cool N quiet on and Use an offset voltage and just work my way up until stable (try 1.45V... 1.5 is a bit too high for air IMO) (offset voltage is default voltage (which u may not know) +- whatever you set it at.

What I usually say here is start the offset at 0 and *just play with it* Just be careful not to kill your cpu please haha

Some people don't run CnQ even with Overclocking but I don't like doing that... I dont like having my idle temps at 50C on my AMD chips haha

But you will likely need a positive offset being you said you werent stable at stock voltage (which indicated your CPU is broken btw... if you can make a warranty claim, do it. This will just prolong it's life a bit)
